This is where we learn what kinds of crops you want to grow. We use this information when laying out the plan for your garden.

We use the “Goldilocks Rule” – not too much, not too little – when deciding on how many square feet will be needed for each crop for each season. So if there are two adults and one child in the household, and you all LOVE carrots, then we need to calculate how many square feet of carrots we’ll need to plant in order to keep everyone happy.

To make things easy we have some dots that allow you to rank your level of interest in each variety from No Interest to Less Interest to More Interest corresponding to numbers between 1 and 10.

So in this case, the carrots would be ranked a 10. If you want to try two different varieties of carrots, each might be listed as a 5, or if you want to focus on one carrot, but try another one just to see what it tastes like, then you might have an 8 and a 2.

Don’t worry if you aren’t perfect with the numbers you choose for each variety. Gardening is trial and error. After your first season you might find that one variety of lettuce is great and you’d like more, while another just doesn’t taste right to you. So consider this to be American Idol for vegetables, you can vote a plant off the show after the first season.

So go through the list and use the Less Interest to More Interest 1-10 scale to show me your level of interest in each variety.

10 is for something you all will eat as often as possible

7-8 is for something you really enjoy eating

4-6 is for varieties you like in reasonable quantities.

2-3 is for a variety you’d like to try.

Please note that larger plants, like tomatoes, peppers and squash can’t really be a 2-3 since there’s a whole plant. You can’t have half an eggplant, but you can try out any smaller varieties like lettuces or radishes by just devoting a single square foot to them in your garden.

Once you’ve completed your Quiz we’ll get in touch with you to discuss your preferences. We’ll then come up with a customized garden plan, and once it’s approved by you, we’ll schedule your installation.
