Holy Angels Garden
Holy Angels is a home in Belmont, NC for the severely handicapped. In early 2008 they approached me with the idea of putting in a large organic garden for them. They wanted their residents to start eating fresh, organically grown produce and would use any left over harvest for their restaurant in town, the Cherub.
We’ve all been very pleased with the results. They estimate growing over $2000 worth of vegetables in their summer season alone. Considering the number of beds, they report the workload for their new garden to be quite reasonable.
